Fosshotel Lind enjoys a fantastic location, just a short walk to Reykjavik's main streets, making it easy to explore the city and reach attractions like the harbor and rainbow street. Guests appreciate the modern and clean rooms, some finding the beds very comfortable, and the breakfast buffet offers a wide selection, including hot options and fresh pastries in a bistro-style dining room. While on the smaller side, the rooms provide all necessary facilities. A few guests have noted the small showers.

balanced stay downtown

good selectionfriendly personelbad smelluncomfortable shower
the location was excellent. it was close to the main street, many stores and restaurants.. breakfast had a good selection. i found the personel very accommodating and friendly.
the bathroom had a constant bad smell, likely from the geothermal water.. it smelled like geysir. the shower was also super uncomfortable and without division, so the whole bathroom floor got wet.

My room included tea and coffee making facilities. The breakfast had a lot of options. The location was close to bus stop 13 (this was useful for tours).
The bathroom was small (it was hard to turn around). The hot water smelled like sulfur after a shower. The staff was not proactive in greeting guests.

THE bathroom was cramped , and the shower lacked a proper enclosure. Water splashed everywhere. The room felt smaller THAN anticipated , and storing luggage became a challenge. THE sulfur smell from the hot water was quite strong , especially after showering.

Charmed by My Visit

big selectionfriendly staffhotel locationsound isolation
The breakfast included a big selection of dishes. I found friendly staff at the reception desk. The hotel location is near many restaurants, and parking on site is beneficial. Spaces filled up but I always secure one each evening.
The sound isolation is pretty bad. I easily hear people in the corridor or snoring. I hope they make some improvements. That negatively impacted my sleep quality.
Rooms
8/10
My room has comfy beds. That was very great. The space included tea and coffee. a TV and a safe. The wet room had convex, hinged screens. They kept the floor mostly dry.
Location
9/10
The location is really handy, just five minutes from the main shopping street. I saw the harbor and plenty of restaurants. I very liked it. It helped me to make a lot of visits.
Facilities
10/10
The hotel is clean, quiet, and warm. A bus stop outside the hotel is useful. I saw a tour picked up right there. I find the environment beneficial.
Dining
9/10
The breakfast room is well laid out. Freshly made bread and an English cooked breakfast were available. The service is self-service. I could make a good choice.
